Dr. Shade's Story
"Dr. Shade" — Since Age 10
I am frequently asked, "What made you decide to be a dentist?" As a youth I knew I wanted to be in the medical field. So much so that some family members called me "Dr. Shade" at the tender age of 10! I believe this also speaks to the power of words and positive affirmation.
At my core I have a longing to provide meaningful service that can impact and help change people's lives. My major at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign was Kinesiology with a Minor in Chemistry (Pre-Med). It wasn't until I met Dr. Reignald Jones of CAHMCP (Chicago Area Health and Medical Program) that sparked my interest in dentistry. Dr. Jones was relentless about me becoming a dentist — and as they say, the rest is history!
I am a first-generation Nigerian-American originally from the Northside of Chicago. I attended Loyola University and obtained a Master's in Chemistry, and received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois Chicago.

I am passionate about treating people well and offering them quality, compassionate service. I also have a passion for community development — I believe that is why God made it so that my first practice is on the Westside of Chicago.
I am a master of minimally invasive dentistry and provide a wide variety of services including cosmetic dentistry, Lumineers, and clear aligners.
